Mary Tucker fonds

Fonds consists of an album given to Mary Tucker by her grandfather who had received it in the early 1900s as a gift from the Japanese Diet. The album consists of a series of hand-tinted silk screen reproductions depicting a variety of Japanese scenes and landmarks. Each individual silk screen is labeled with the subject of the image. The covers of the album are black lacquer with a floral image in gold on the back cover and a scene in relief of a woman and a boy sweeping on the front cover.

The fonds consists of hand-written notes as well as published articles relating to artists in Canada between the early 17th century and the late 20th century. The fonds also consists of copies of correspondence between artists, as well as Walkers own correspondence with artists and the artistic world in general, both inside and outside Canada. The fonds consists of the following series and is largely arranged in its original order. 1) Canadian Artists 2) Records relating to Dear Nan: Letters to Emily Carr, Nan Cheney, and Humphrey Toms 3) Photographs.

Fonds consists mainly of records created and accumulated by Pomeroy as biographer and friend of Charles G.D. Roberts, Canadian poet. Records document Roberts' work, including his interests in the Tantramar area of New Brunswick, and his relationship with Pomeroy as well as Pomeroy's activities as collector and interpreter of Canadian literature mainly between 1920-1950. Files contain correspondence; published and unpublished poetry and prose by Roberts and other Canadian authors of the time; scrapbooks; photographs; postcards; clippings.

Records related to Bliss Carman, Arthur Stringer, Blanche Hume, Isabella Crawford, Dorothy Leisner Roberts, Annie Charlotte Dalton, G.B. Lancaster are also included.

Records belonging to Marshall Saunders and Mary Electa Adams were given to Pomeroy, and are included.

A bibliography of Pomeroy's publications is included in the fonds.

The fonds consists of the personal papers and photographs of the Rennie family of St. John's, including sketches by Marjorie Rennie (1906), and by R. M. Rennie (1921 and undated); bank statements (1923-31, 1938); correspondence (1931,1936, 1937); Christmas cards (from Prime Minister of Newfoundland-1928, and Royal Canadian Legion-1984); poetry; song lyrics (1866); railway voucher for W. Picco for Royal Canadian Navy (1916). The fonds also includes newspaper clippings.

The fonds consists of records relating to the Rennie businesses including, client list (1982, 1984), R.M. Rennie professional appointment, correspondence with Agriculture Canada (1977), correspondence relating to property ownership (1892, 1893, 1896, 1963), record of labour book (1896-1897), documents relating to the Rennie Baking Company (1902, 1907), undated records of supplies for Rennie's Mill, sales and receipt books (1899-1900, 1956-1981), property maps of Whitbourne property for the National Defence (1742); Corner Brook Bowater's pulp and paper mill (1945); and lot of land leased to U.S.A (1942). The fonds also includes newspaper clippings relating to the Rennie businesses.

Fonds consists of personal and professional records created by Gilbert and Stewart Bagnani and their families, chiefly in Europe, North Africa, and Canada, for the most part between ca. 1910 and 1955, comprising photographs of Gilbert Bagnani's travels and archaeological work in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Libya and Egypt in the 1920s and 1930s; a motion picture of his activities in and around Tebtunis in Egypt in 1934; correspondence between the Bagnanis themselves, Gilbert Bagnani's mother Florence Bagnani and other family members; photos of the families of Gilbert and Stewart Bagnani, including 19th-century photo portraits of their Dewar, Houston, and Robinson relatives; a collection of copy prints and glass slides of art and antiquities used by Dr. Bagnani in his university teaching; audio recordings of Dr. Bagnani lecturing; albums of clippings and memorabilia of family and social events; miscellaneous printed, typescript and manuscript items; photos of the Bagnanis at Trent University in the 1980s; an album of postage stamps; and other material.
