Movement for Citizens Voice and Action fonds

Fonds consists of wide range of records from both MOVE and MOVE coalition members, consisting of administrative records to material on social issues. Records include meeting minutes from the board and staff; material on operations; records on funding and finances; material on activities and participation of MOVE such as conferences, seminars, and workshops; various material on internal committees and external committees; various material on MOVE coalition member groups; resource and reference material that made up much of MOVE's library as well as research information they used for various publications for citizen awareness. In addition, the above records contain material that target many social issues such as environment, human rights, poverty, unemployment, city planning, and transit issues.

Canada-China Friendship Association fonds

This fonds consists of records related to the governance of the association, meeting minutes, the activities of the various committees and sub-committees, membership lists, newsletters, and correspondence. It also includes program materials the CCFA used to promote knowledge and awareness about China; documents regarding the Communist Party of China; reference materials; a large collection of slides, primarily of two trips the association organized, one to China in 1975 and one to Asia in 1977; audiocassettes; and materials related to the lecture “How China Feeds 800 Million People” which includes a slide show, audiocassette, and transcription.

Nova Scotia Women's Action Committee fonds

This fonds mainly consists of the publications, correspondence, meeting minutes, news releases, newsletters, newspaper clippings and reports of the Nova Scotia Women’s Action Committee.

Robert O. Jones fonds

Fonds consists of patient records, manuscripts, lecture notes, course material, correspondence, published articles, speeches, photographs, subject files, and papers of various professional associations, all created or collected by Dr. Jones during his career.

The materials in this fonds were generated primarily as a result of Dr. Jones' work as a Psychiatrist in Halifax and as a faculty member at Dalhousie University. Dr. Jones was a member of many associations and the bulk of this collection consists of meeting minutes and correspondence related to these associations.

Medical Relief Committee fonds

Fonds consists of a single notebook that contains committee minutes regarding the care of patients following the 1917 Halifax Explosion, as well as two pages of notes written in 1944 by M.G. Burris (the donor).

George Farquhar fonds

This fonds consists primarily of records related to the Board of Governors collected by Farquhar during his time on the board, including minutes; the report A Survey and Plan of Fund-raising for Dalhousie University; and a file of correspondence, newspaper clippings, and publications related to President Stanley Carleton’s resignation.

The fonds also includes some other miscellaneous materials collected by Farquhar related to the history of Dalhousie or the province, and associations/events with which he was involved. These records include pamphlets, song books, biographical sketches of some notable Nova Scotians, and a number of event programs and invitations.

Wilfred Creighton fonds

Fonds consists of materials created and accumulated by Wilfrid Creighton, including correspondence, articles, manuscripts, financial and legal documents, minutes, photographs and a variety of personal papers and memorabilia. Materials relate to Creighton's education, career and long-time interest in forestry, but also include some materials relating to family history.
