Alexandra Lodge #5, A.F. & A.M. fonds : [1864-1978]

This fonds consists of two microfilm copies of minute books of the Alexandra Lodge. The minute books date from 1864 to 1978 and contain communications of meetings, names of members, officers, and visitors, and payments and bills. The second minute book also records the number of people at each meeting.

This fonds consists of five minute books which detail the activities and accounts of the Birch Grove Women's Institute of Freetown from their first meeting in February 1932 to June of 1975. The minutes document monthly and annual meetings. Financial information is recorded within the body of the minutes as are lists of those serving on committees.

Grand Orange Lodge of Prince Edward Island fonds

The fonds consists of the records of the Grand Orange Lodge of Prince Edward Island. The fonds includes bound and typed proceedings of annual meetings (1862-1998), District, County and Grand Lodge returns (1978-1999), annual reports (1962-1994), a roll book (1927-1978) and correspondence. A certificate of incorporation of the Heartsville Primary Lodge (1866) and some code and ritual books are also included. Some information about the Protestant Orphanage and the Protestant Children's Trust, Maritime Orange Council, and other activities can be found in the fonds. Finally, the records include an oversized photograph of delegates from the Grand Orange Lodge, Grand Black Chapter and Ladies Orange Lodge Association of British America taken in front of Prince of Wales College, Charlottetown, in 1918.

The fonds consists of various textual records of the Learning Disability Association of Prince Edward Island spanning the years 1973 to 1999. The records are divided into two series: Administrative files and Programs/Activities. Series 1 consists of records pertaining to the structure and internal activities of the organization. Series 2 is comprised of records of the activities and programs organized by the association for the benefit of members and the public at large.

This fonds consists of one volume which was used as a minute book for the "Lily Lodge" in 1871 to 1876 and the "Phenix Lodge" in 1880 to 1881. The volume contains meeting minutes detailing the activities and finances of the groups. At the back of the volume are a Roll of Members for the Lily Lodge for the years 1868 to 1876, and the By-Laws of both lodges.

This fonds is comprised of the papers of the P.E.I. Council of Women, primarily a loose leaf set of minutes for the years 1968 to 1976. Meeting minutes include meeting notices, newspaper clippings, and financial information in addition to the account of the meetings. Also included are copies of the organization's constitutions: proposed and approved (1971), a membership listing and cumulative financial statement for 1969, and two publications produced by the National Council of Women of Canada: the pamphlet "Councils of Women in Canada Aims and Objectives" and the booklet "What's In It?", a study guide for nation-wide circulation and discussion.

Prince Edward Island Federation of Home and School Associations fonds

The fonds consists of three minute books for the Prince Edward Island Federation of Home and School Associations for the period 1952 to 1961. The books include minutes of the annual meetings as well as the executive's monthly meetings. Minutes of the executive include attendance records, information about recent activities, plans for future projects, and some financial records. The second minute book also includes two newspaper clippings.

Report of the Sixth Annual Session of the Provincial Grand Lodge, Loyal Orange Institution of Prince Edward Island

The Report of the Sixth Annual Session of the Loyal Orange Lodge was held at the Provincial Lodge in Charlottetown on Tuesday, the 14 February 1866. This report contains an address given by Provincial Grand Master Sir J.B. Cooper which discussed such topics as the unsuccessful attempts of the lodge to apply for an act of incorporation in 1863, the Fenian Invasions of 1865, the Grand Council meeting in London, England on the 17th July 1865, to which PEI was to send one representative, as well as information concerning the opening of new lodges throughout PEI that year. The report also contains the reports of the finance, correspondence, and appeals committees, and the minutes of the semi-annual meeting held at the Provincial Grand Lodge on the 3 July 1866, and the financial statement for the Loyal Orange Lodge of PEI for 1866.

The collection consists five account books (1920-1930) from Reddin Bros. Drug Store on Richmond Street in Charlottetown, as well as a sixth account book (1882-1892) which may have also come from the same company which was founded by Dennis O'Meara Reddin, Jr. in 1882. The collection also includes a list of charter members of an unidentified club dated 1966. Although the name of the club is not given, the illustrations indicate it was likely a curling organization. Finally, the collection contains three photographs, including one of a military band (n. d.), the West Kent Football Team Interscholastic Champions (1928), and the Charlottetown Driving Park (1948).
