The fonds consists of vital statistics records, membership rolls, sessional and annual minutes, and church group minutes for the O'Leary/West Cape United Church pastoral charge and its predecessors the Bible Christian, Methodist, and Presbyterian churches of the area. These have been arranged into five series as follows:

1) Bible Christian/ Methodist records
2) Presbyterian records
3) West Cape United Church pastoral charge
4) O'Leary United Church pastoral charge
5) O'Leary/West Cape United pastoral charge

There will of course be some overlapping of records where record books from the earlier denominations continued to be used after church union. Moreover, although Series 5 purports to be the records of the amalgamated O'Leary/West Cape Charge established in 1969, it does contain some earlier records of the O'Leary Pastoral Charge as these volumes continued to be used for the new charge.

The designation of the term volume is arbitrary and does not necessarily refer to a physical volume but may refer to a section containing a specific type of data within the original volumes.

The fonds consists of vital statistics and administrative records of the Tryon/Hampton pastoral charge of the United Church of Canada and its predecessors, the Methodist and Presbyterian charges of those areas. Forming separate series are the adminstrative and group records of the United churches at Tryon and Crapaud. They have been broken down into the following series:

Series 2 Tryon/Crapaud Methodist circuit (1873-1925)
Series 3 Tryon/Bonshaw/Hampton Presbyterian circuit (pre 1925)

Series 6 Tryon/Hampton pastoral charge (1968- )
Series 7 Tryon United Church (1912- )

The fonds contains records of baptisms, marriages, and burials as well as annual, congregational, official board, and trustee minutes of the Methodist and Presbyterian circuits which eventually made up the Alberton Elmsdale Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada. These have been intellectually arranged into the following five series:

Series 1: Alberton Circuit of the Methodist Church
Series 2: Alberton Charge of the Presbyterian Church
Series 3: Montrose Circuit of the Presbyterian Church
Series 4: Alberton Pastoral Charge of the United Church
Series 5: Cascumpec United Church

Records overlap and some of the post 1925 United Church records (Series 4) are contained within the record books of the Methodist and Presbyterian churches (Series 1 & 2)

The fonds contains Methodist, Presbyterian, and United Church records principally for the circuits of Bedeque, Richmond Bay East, and Freetown including the smaller communities contained within the changing circuits. These are comprised of baptism, marriage and burial records, lists of clergy, officials and communicants, official pastoral charges and individual church minutes, annual reports, financial records, and records of various church organizations. For the purposes of description these have been organized into the following series:

Series 2: Richmond Bay East United pastoral charge
Series 3: Bedeque United Church
Series 4: Freetown United Church

The fonds consists of an incomplete run of financial statements and annual reports of St. John's Presbyterian Church in New London from 1923 to 1991. The early annual reports are in reality financial statements of contributors, receipts and disbursements. In 1974 they begin to include brief reports of session, Board of Managers, special funds, societies, etc. The fonds also contains an annual report from the Long River Presbyterian Church (1950), a financial statement of the Margate Pastoral Charge (1950) and the last sermon preached by Niall H. Burnett in St. James Church in Charlottetown, 6 October 1940.

The fonds contains records of the successive Bible Christian, Methodist and United congregations of Pownal. It also contains some records from the Orwell Head and Vernon River Methodist/United charges. These includes baptisms, marriages and deaths, official minutes, membership rolls, and minutes of church women's groups. These form the following series:

The fonds consists of membership, baptismal, marriage and burial registers of Zion Presbyterian Church and its predecessors the Free Church and the Queen's Square Church. It includes as well annual reports, financial books and records of the congregation, administrative bodies and special groups of the church. They have been arranged into the following series:

The fonds consists of baptism, marriage and burial records, minutes of session, record of sermons and membership rolls of the Dundas and Annandale Presbyterian/United charge. It also contains Official Board minutes from the Central Kings Pastoral Charge and minutes of the congregational, trustees, and Young People's Union meetings of the Dundas United Church. These have been intellectually arranged in the following series:
