The fonds consists of genealogical records pertaining to various families which are connected to the Wood family. The material was likely collected and used by Albert in the writing of his Wood genealogy entitled "An Island Family". The fonds also includes notes, transcripts of church, cemetery, land, and census records, a birth and baptismal certificate for Albert William Wood, a Catechism primer belonging to Albert Wood, correspondence, a diary (1974), six postcards and five photographs.

The fonds consists of the records of Dr. George Dewar and his wife Jean Dewar, including diaries, correspondence, research and writings, speeches, photographs, and other material. The fonds has been divided into two sous-fonds: Dr. George Dewar and Jean Dewar.

The fonds consists of a series of diaries from 1939 to 1979. Each covers a period of approximately five or six years with entries for the same day of each year written on the same page. Entries contain information about the weather, farm chores, family and community events. At the end of each diary there is a section containing items of interest such as genealogical information, deaths, marriages, fires, and community happenings from the area of Freetown, Bedeque, Wiltshire, and Kensington.

The fonds consists of personal and business papers, correspondence, sketchbooks, writings, photographs, and other records belonging to Erica Rutherford (1923-2008). The records, which span the years ca. 1930s-2005, document Rutherford's various careers as an actor, set designer, director painter, printmaker, teacher, illustrator, and writer. The fonds also consists of personal papers which provide insight into the private life of an individual who struggled with gender identity from a young age, ultimately undergoing transsexual surgery to live her life as a woman. This fonds consists of twenty-one 13.5 x 20 mm bound yearly journals kept by Spurgeon Jenkins. Daily entries consist of comments on the weather, visits with family and friends and other social outings, and descriptions of hunting trips with details of game shot. As well, Mr. Jenkins commented on work-related outings and interactions, and various legal actions which resulted from his work as a game warden and later as a tax collector for the City of Charlottetown. The journals contain some addresses of family and friends preceding the January 1st entries as well as various notes made in the cash account and bills receivable sections after the December 31 entries. Mr. Jenkins used this area to keep accounts of the birds and other wildlife which he shot and for which he collected bounty.
