A. E. Byerly diaries and appointment books

This series consists of diaries and appointment books documenting various activities Byerly engaged in, including daily events, historical thoughts, and medical appointments.

These records are arranged chronologically by year.

A. E. Byerly historical records

This series consists of historical records compiled by Byerly during his research, as well as documents and ephemera he collected or saved. Included are biographies and genealogies of local people, historical information relating to churches, local towns such as Fergus and Berlin (Kitchener), Mennonites, Robbie Burns' ancestors, as well as miscellaneous articles and documents. Also included are a large quantity of research notes left by Byerly. The records consist of notes, correspondence, maps, ephemera, copied material, newspaper clippings, and notebooks.

This series consists of correspondence received by Byerly, and relates to family affairs, historical and genealogical research, as well as to books he authored.

This series consists of local newspapers collected by Byerly, including many south-western Ontario papers like the Guelph Mercury, the London Free Press, and the Galt Reporter. Also included are clippings related to Guelph History, the majority of which pertain specifically to Byerly's: Our History Column.
