The fonds consists of militia service rolls for the years 1893, 1896, 1900 and 1912 for Westmorland County. The service rolls for the years 1893, 1896, and 1912 include the recruits' age, place of residence, and date of enlistment. The 1900 roll is incomplete and provides only the men's names and corresponding rank.

The fonds also contains photocopies of issues of "The 8th Hussar" newsletter, published weekly by the 8th Princess Louise (NB) Hussars (Vol. 1, #1, 26 August 1945 – Vol. 1, #14, 24 November 1945 inclusive).

Fonds consists of files concerning Canada’s participation in the Persian Gulf War of 1990-1991. Includes a wide variety of communication signals and messages that were transmitted and received from late January to March 1991. Also includes Central Registry files covering a wide variety of military subjects, including air tasking orders, military intelligence and Operation Desert Shield. There are also some miscellaneous files, including incoming and outgoing messages from the Canadian Liaison Officer, U.S. Central Command. There are three series:

Item is a series of notes pertaining to the 94th Argyll Highlanders and their role as one of the First Canadian Militia Units in Cape Breton. The notes also detail how the group was absorbed into various troops overseas in World War 1. This piece was published in the Sydney Post Record.

Scrapbook contains: correspondence; delegates' passes; invitations and programmes for various entertainment events, including the official delegates' welcome, a theatre party, a banquet, a sailing party, an automobile tour of Toronto, and other events; menus from the dining cars of the Canadian National Railway; newspaper clippings regarding the Congress from the Globe, the Mail and Empire, and the Star; a programme of the Congress, containing rules, resolutions, and lists of delegates; and a copy of the official report of the Congress.
