The collection consists of photographs of Klondike dance hall girls from Dawson City, Yukon.

The collection consists of photographs relating to the Yukon's Klondike Gold Rush trail and Dawson City, from 1898-1951. The majority of the photographs (230) are dated 1898-1900 and were taken by Larss & Duclos, and Eric Hegg. Subjects include Dawson City street scenes, businesses, residents, events at the Palace Grand Theatre, mining activity in the Klondike Gold Fields, members of the North West Mounted Police (NWMP), the tent city at Bennett, Chilkoot Pass, pack trains on White Pass Trail, sternwheelers, First Nations women and portraits of Dawson City women (82/273). The remaining photographs are a selection taken by anthropologists during their field work with First Nations in the Yukon. Anthropologist photographers include Catharine McClellan, Dorothy Raines, Douglas Leechman and W.E. Cockfield. The photographs document native lifestyles in the Atlin, Teslin, Carcross, Old Crow, Klukshu, Dalton Post and Burwash Landing areas, in 1927, 1946 and 1951 (91/36). Accession 81/43 relates to the Archaeological Survey of Canada and consists of copies of 50 manuscripts created between 1948 and 1979 on the geology and archaeology of the Yukon Territory. The manuscripts form part of the Archaeological Survey of Canada Collection at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. Some are on microfiche (transferred in the 1970s). The textual records include a computer printout of the archaeological sites in the Yukon (81/23) and material on the customs and history of the Pelly Indians (dated 1913 and 1939) from the Poole Field Collection at the CMC (92/38 in-process material). The videocassette is titled "No Gap Where Time Began" and was produced by the CMC in 1994 (94/121).

This collection contains a series of promotional photographs taken ca. 1960 near Miles Canyon, Whitehorse and Dawson City in Yukon. The images show sternwheelers, steam locomotives, old stage coach, MacBride Museum and Miles Canyon suspension bridge.

The collection consists of two prints of photographs of the Swift River School, ca. 1947 and 1950. Pupils and teachers are posing inside and outside of the school. Pupils include Carroll and her brother Leslie Couch, Billy Blair, Janice Talbot, Matthew Tom, Don Steel, Dale Simpson, Joanne and Roberta Stevenson, Ben and Connie Stady, with teacher Rod McNiven. Individuals were identified on the back of the original photographs. This information has been photocopied onto pages held with the photographs.

The collection consists of pamphlets from the Yukon Order of Pioneers (YOOP), a Bank of Montreal cheque book and two notebooks with handwritten notes. The pamphlets date from 1916 to 1919, the other material has no specific date, but several businesses are mentioned, The Arcade Cafe, the Occidental Hotel, and Yukon Coachlines.

The collection consists of three portrait photographs taken by E.J. Hamacher of North West Mounted Police (NWMP) officer F.G. Boone, a child, and a young man.

This collection consists of moving images, sound recordings, transcripts and photographs produced and/or recorded by the CBC. They have been arranged into two series: CBC Radio Recordings; and Focus North.

The collection consists of copies of letters, menus, an invitation, autographs, dedication ribbon, and a US Congressional Record from the dedication ceremony of the Alaska Highway in 1942. It also includes photographs of Whitehorse, Carcross, Burwash Landing, and Soldier's Summit. Many of the photographs are of churches and church services with Father Hamel and his parishioners.

The collection consists of original photographs, of Martha Black and friends, which had been taped inside an autographed copy of "My Seventy Years" by Martha Louise Black, 1939. It also includes a Christmas letter signed by the Blacks in 1955 and newspaper clippings about the Blacks, Leroy McQuesten, Sam McGee and Robert Henderson.

The collection consists of four photocopied typewritten diaries that were kept by men who were in the Robert Kennicott party involved in building the Western Union Telegraph line from a point in British Columbia to the Bering Strait. (The Kennicott party left New York by ship in 1865, then went on to San Francisco, and St. Michael and spent the winter of 1865-1866 in the Yukon.) The titles of the diaries are as follows: P. M. Smith's Diary - August 26, 1865 to March 22, 1867; Unknown Author September 26, 1865 to March 23, 1866; George R. Adams' Diary April 26, 1866 to June 11, 1866; George R. Adams' Diary October 1, 1866 to October 8, 1867. Included also is an index, and a foreword written by C. S. Hubbell in 1940 which provides some background about the Kennicott party. A handwritten note included with the index suggests that the unknown author was George R. Adams, and the name on the first diary is Fred M. Smith, not P. M. Smith.
