Biographical history
James Hadley was born in Port Mulgrave, Nova Scotia, and as a young man worked in Manitoba, B.C. and Yukon. He arrived in the Yukon in 1927, working first on the steamer "Casca" and then as an orderly at St. Mary's Hospital. He then started working for the Yukon Consolidated Gold Company (Y.C.G.C.) on their dredges, spending most of his time on #7 at Quartz Creek. Mr. Hadley last worked for Y.C.G.C. at the Hydro plant in North Fork, and spent his remaining years working at the Power Plant in Dawson City. James Hadley died in 1968.
