Janet Rissky and June Heurlin took the slides and b&w negatives of Harry Leamon themselves. Janet Rissky acquired the four b&w prints from an estate sale in Duluth, Minnesota. Janet Rissky obtained the textual records from the Old Post Office in Dawson City, Yukon, in 1958-'59, when the building was wide open and neglected.

Scope and content

The fonds consist of 53 colour slides depicting Harry Leamon and his mining claim in 1958, '59, '61, '62 and '71; 9 b&w negatives depicting Harry Leamon in July, 1958; 4 b&w photographic prints taken by Wolfe; and a folder of textual records including a Dawson Ice Guessing contest ticket from 1949, a 1971 Dawson City telephone directory, and various business records from the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation, CIBC, Royal Canadian Signals Radiotelegraphs, Yukon Gold Placers Ltd., Northern Commercial Co., Burns & Co. Ltd., and Kirk's River Freighting Service.
