In the early 1960s the Jasper Yellowhead Historical Society began collecting photographs on various subjects pertaining to Jasper's history. These photographs relating to the motion picture "under Suspicion" were gathered from various sources to form this collection.

The collection consists of photographs pertaining to the motion picture "Under Suspicion" (1928). Includes many views of local residents appearing as extras in the film.

General note
The Fox Film Corporation motion picture "Under Suspicion" was filmed in Jasper National Park in 1928. It's working title was "Red Sky" and was the first sound picture made in Canada. It starred Lois Moran and Harold Murray. Many locals appeared as extras in the movie, mostly posing as RCMP on horseback. Filming took place at Jasper Park Lodge and Maligne Lake.<br><br>Record No. ID185<br><br>
