General note

Jessie Holmes memoirs, based on a diary which has since been lost, were written partially after her husband's death in 1915 and partially for Lake Saskatoon Reflections ca. 1970. It covers their trip made from Liverpool, England to the Anglican mission on the shores of Lesser Slave Lake in 1902, their work at Slave Lake, Shaftesbury Trail, and Lake Saskatoon, and the family's experiences as the children were born and raised in the First Nations communities.
