Custodial history
Joe Bouvier's father worked with the National Film Board (NFB) in St. Albert and Edmonton, and kept these films when the NFB discarded them. Joe Bouvier received the films when his father died. Liliane Maisonneuve was the History and Heritage Coordinator at the Association Canadienne-Francaise de L'Alberta (ACFA) from 2000 to 2004. Joe Bouvier brought these films to the ACFA in 2003. Ms Maisonneuve later felt that the Provincial Archives of Alberta would be a more appropriate repository for the films.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of four 16mm films of varying subjects. Two are NFB productions, one is an Eastman Classroom films, and one was produced by the Government of Alberta.
