The fonds consists of records related to the activities of the International Longshoremen's and Warehousemen's Union in Prince Rupert as Local 505 from 1910-1990 and its predecessor the International Longshoremen's Association Local 38 and 307. It includes volumes of minutes, financial records, membership dues, roll call at meetings, photographs, and original charters. Other than original charters from 1910 and 1911, the records begin in 1926. In 1957, ILWU Ladies Auxliary No. 34 received its charter and the fonds includes correspondence, reports, minutes, and the charter for the group.
