Biographical history
Léonidas-Praxède Bernard était le fils de Joseph Bernard, notaire (CN301,S21) et d'Ida Larue. Il reçut une commission de notaire le 5 octobre 1871. Il fut secrétaire-trésorier de la corporation municipale du comté de Portneuf de 1868 à 1899. Il pratiqua la profession de notaire à Cap-Santé. Il mourut en 1903 à Cap-Santé. Il avait épousé Eulalie Garneau le 21 juin 1875 à Neuville Sources Registre des commissions de notaires ; Revue du notariat, vol. 1, no 9 (15 avril 1899), p. 287 ; vol. 5, no 11 (15 juin 1903), p. 361 ; Benoît Pontbriand, Répertoire des mariages de Neuville (comté de Portneuf), 1679-1900, Sillery, 1964, p. 28
