Document, dressé à la suite du décès de Jean-Joseph Casot, le dernier Jésuite vivant au Bas-Canada, ordonnant aux shérifs de la province de prendre en charge les biens des Jésuites, au nom de la Couronne. Pour s'en charger, une commission responsable de l'administration et de l'amélioration des biens des Jésuites est formée. Les commissaires désignés sont Jenkin Williams, François Baby, Thomas Dunn, John Hale et Michel Berthelot. Le reste de la lettre consiste à la description des pouvoirs qui leurs sont accordés. Un autre point important, toutefois, est cette demande pour constituer un papier-terrier des biens et propriété ayant appartenus aux Jésuites (DBC)
