The fonds consists of a report made by Theophilus Stewart, circa 1864, to the Aborigines Protection Society in London. In it he discusses the plight of the Micmacs in Prince Edward Island, previous legislation, and other attempts to provide some assistance to this population including the forming of the Micmac Society of Prince Edward Island. It also includes a requisition for seed potatoes and other grain seed for the spring of 1865. The correspondence apparently originally enclosed pamphlets, documents, proceedings of the Micmac Missionary Society and a translation of the book of Psalms into the Micmac language.
