General note

Mrs. Dowdell's house was located at the southeast corner of 51 Street and 49 Avenue where the Public Library was located in 1999. It was formerly owned by James Carney and Naomi Carney (1923-1938), George Rupert and Ruby Rupert (1938-1945), and Robert Munn and Mary Munn (1945-1953). Maria Dowdell moved into the house after her husband Al Dowdell died in 1955. She lived in the house until she moved into the Good Shepherd Home in Wetaskiwin.<br><br>
