Biographical history

Olive Storey, born in 1927, moved to Whitehorse, Yukon with her husband John when he was transferred to work for the weather office. They lived in Valleyview and then moved to Riverdale and raised 6 children - Jared, Ann, Deborah, Tara, William John, and Sandra. Olive was also a foster mother and a volunteer for a variety of Yukon associations. She helped out with the Braeburn Christian Camp for many years, ending around 1996. Olive Storey lives in Whitehorse.

The fonds consists of original photographs, compiled by Olive Storey into 3 albums, of the Braeburn Christian Camp in the Yukon. The photographs record the history of the camp and depict people, events, and buildings, ca. 1958-1996. Some photographs were taken by Eric Grasholm.
