Scope and content

This series consists of records created, accumulated and used by Bill Barry relating to his activities as a postmark collector. In the mid 1980s, Barry embarked on a project to personally visit all of Saskatchewan's post offices and sub-offices and mail himself a letter from each one. He was also compiling a reference collection of provincial postmarks and conducting research on post office history.

The records are arranged in alphabetical order by name of town, village, city or settlement. The types of records included are stamps; documents with postmarks stamped on them; photographs; reference publications; matchbooks advertising restaurants, gas stations, and various businesses and photocopied sections of maps showing the location of towns, villages, and cities.

No sub-series were identified in this series.
