Biographical history
The Prince Rupert Thursday Mixed Bowling League was one of several bowling leagues that formed in the city. Early pioneers built bowling alleys in Prince Rupert by 1909, usually sharing a space with billiards halls. In l910 the Empress Alleys opened as the first full bowling alley. The Prince Rupert Thursday Mixed Bowling League was established circa 1950 and operated out of Totem Lanes located at 1241 Prince George Street until it closed in circa 2010.

The records were donated to the archives by Ray Smith on July 6, 1993.
