The Archives exists to acquire and preserve records of archival value, to facilitate access to the records, and to support the development of the archival community in the Region. The Archives was established in 1990 when the Corporate Archives policy was approved by Council.

Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and evenings by appointment. The Archives is closed on all weekends and holidays.
The Archives provides assistance to researchers by email, phone, fax, mail or in the research room by appointment. The Archivist is available to discuss research topics, provide possible archival sources, give instruction in the use of finding aids, and provide information on the preservation of records and archival practices.
There are fees for photocopies, microfilm copies, copies of photographs, and for providing detailed assistance with research enquiries.

CD-ROMS or equivalent media - $10.00 each
Long-distance Research Service - $7.50/15 minutes
