Biographical history
Né le 1er août 1924, Harvey Majo (pseudonyme pour Harvey Majeau) est un photographe-portraitiste d'origine italienne. Il apprend son métier avec le célèbre photographe Gaby (pseudonyme de Gabriel Desmarais). Caractéristique originale pour un photographe de cette réputation, il photographie ses clients à leur domicile et non en studio. De plus, il tire des épreuves noir et blanc de grand format qu'il fait rehausser de couleur (peinture à l'huile). Il épouse à Montréal, le 4 décembre 1948, Sarah Robichaud. Il meurt à Montréal le 30 septembre 1982, à l'âge de 58 ans
