Custodial history
Records were originally donated by David Jones, son of Dr. Jones, in 1985, 1986 and 2001 (Accession No. 1985-022, 1985-024, 1986-051, 2001-012, 2001-017). Additional papers were donated in 1992 by Mrs. Mary Jones (Accession No. 1992-043).
Scope and content
Fonds consists of patient records, manuscripts, lecture notes, course material, correspondence, published articles, speeches, photographs, subject files, and papers of various professional associations, all created or collected by Dr. Jones during his career.
The materials in this fonds were generated primarily as a result of Dr. Jones' work as a Psychiatrist in Halifax and as a faculty member at Dalhousie University. Dr. Jones was a member of many associations and the bulk of this collection consists of meeting minutes and correspondence related to these associations.
