Biographical history
A Baptist church was organized at Cambridge Narrows, Queens County, New Brunswick on 5 November 1855. Sixteen members of the church in Cambridge (MacDonald's Corner) united with a few local residents, bringing the total membership in the new church to 21. Amos S. Corey was named the first Deacon. The first church was built on his property and became known as the "Corey Meeting House."
In November 1858 a new church building was dedicated at Cambridge. Under the leadership of the Reverend. A. B. MacDonald, from 1866-1885, the congregation continued to grow with 247 people being added to the church rolls. In 1866 the Second Cambridge Baptist Sabbath School was organized, and in 1870 Hannah Maria Norris organized the Second Cambridge Branch of Women's Baptist Missionary Aid Society. The Cambridge and Narrows churches became part of the Cody's Circuit in 1930.
