Morgan family collection

The collection consists of photographs collected by the Morgan family. It includes photographs of the Morgan family, a large explosion in the construction of Prince Rupert, rodeos and May Day at Acropolis Hill, picnics, ice hockey, swimmers at Salt Lakes, Grotto Cigar Store, the Skeena River flood in 1936, Borden Street School, portraits of various sports teams and athletes produced by Benson Studios in Prince Rupert, a refrigerator brine tank for CN, the S.S. Catala, the International Longshoremen Association, and pictures of staff and students at Conrad School (1949-1966) and Roosevelt School (1973-1974).

The fonds consists of photographs of early Prince Rupert showing the building of the town site from the first pile driven to build the wharf in 1906, the first grade of the railway in 1908, the first GTP passenger train, and scenes of early Prince Rupert and the surrounding area up until to the 1920s. There are photographs of people in Prince Rupert, including family and colleagues, nurses during WWI, the drydock, planes, parades, boats, steamships, reservoirs, the Skeena River, Ocean Falls, the cold storage plant, football games, picnics, fire trucks, one photograph of native children in Metlakatla, and a logging camp at Alice Arm. It also includes a certificate of appointment from when Ernest was made a Notary Public on September 21, 1909 and a postcard received by Ernest in Prince Rupert in July 1907, mailed from England June 3, 1907.

Christine McIntosh fonds

The fonds consists of photographs and videos taken by Christine or collected by her during her years of teaching at King Edward Elementary School, later Lax Kxeen from 1973-1999. It includes both individual and group photographs and videos of student activities, including field trips, Christmas concerts in 1992 and 1997, grade 7 volleyball games in the 1990s, and the musical "wheels" from 1982-1983.

The collection consists of 338 photographs, one negative, and documents relating to the cross family. The photographs in the collection come from four family albums donated by Don Cross after the death of his mother. They consist primarily of outdoor activities in and around Prince Rupert featuring family and friends as Don described his parents as great outdoors people who went everywhere. Areas and subjects in the photographs include: Salt Lakes, Metlakatla, Hays Mountain, Picnic Bay, Lucy Islands, Falls River, Remo, LakeElse Lake, Victoria, pets, steamships and people playing shuffleboard on deck, docks, railway tracks, swimming, boating, hiking, camping, scouts, class picnics, nurses, parades, the drydock, and fishing. It also includes a Canadian Red Cross registration form for Alan (1944-1945), and a Prince Rupert High School certificate for Phyllis (1925).

Signed Spruce Kings Puck

Consists of 1 puck signed by the Prince George Spruce Kings. The black puck is signed in blue ink by the team members of the 1991 Prince George Spruce Kings Junior "A" Hockey Club. The puck features a blue crown, and is labelled "Prince George Spruce Kings."

Signed Spruce Kings Hat

Consists of 1 hat signed by the Prince George Spruce Kings. The hat is a white corduroy ball cap signed in red ink by the team members of the 1991 Prince George Spruce Kings Junior "A" Hockey Club. The hat features a blue and red crown, and is labelled in red "Prince George Spruce Kings."

Letter to Al Lefebvre

Consists of a letter from Dan Rogers, Promotions Director of the Prince George Spruce Kings, to Al Lefebvre, Director of Finance of UNBC. The letter thanks Lefebvre for his attendance and support of the Spruce Kings' recent exhibition series with the Victoria Warriors and summarizes the series. Post-script on letter reads as follows : "I have included an autographed hat and puck that U.N.B.C. can keep for prosperity."

The fonds consists of administrative records of the club, including minutes, reports, correspondence, financial statements, cabin visitor books, summit registers, membership records and others. It also contains many hundreds of photographs, glass plate negatives, films and other moving images, as well as publications of the BCMC, including the B.C. Mountaineer, the BCMC Newsletter, as well as hiking and climbing guides in whose publication the BCMC was involved. It also contains many news cuttings relating to hiking and climbing in British Columbia and activities of club members. These records document many aspects of the club's activities including their involvement in mountaineering, advocacy for land conservation, and natural history. The fonds also contains the records of Mary and David Macaree which they created and accumulated during the course of researching their publications '103 Hikes in Southwestern British Columbia' and '109 Walks in B.C.'s Lower Mainland'.
