This collection consists of various textual and photographic records of Doris Muncey Haslam spanning the years ca. 1870 to 2000. The records are divided into four series: the Genealogical notes and correspondence series details Doris Haslam's continued interest in genealogy; the Scrapbooks series contains five of Doris Haslam's scrapbooks; the Personal correspondence and household accounts series consists of an account book and letters; and the Miscellaneous records series contains newsletters, postcards and a draft copy of the community history of Springfield.

The fonds consists of an taped interview with Doris (Muncey) Haslam and Albert James Haslam on 27-28 September 1992 at Hazeldean, family home of George Haslam, father of Albert and Reginald. The interviewer is not identified. The cassette includes genealogical information relating to the Haslam, Muttart, Muncey, and other families as well as descriptions of farm and family life in Springfield. There is also some description of the family's fox farming operation. Biographical information about Doris (Muncey) Haslam includes some description of her activities in the United Empire Loyalist Association and the Women's Institute. Included also are several commissions appointing Albert James Haslam Notary Public, Stipendiary Magistrate, Juvenile Court Judge, Queen's Counsel and Lay reader at St. Paul's in Charlottetown.

The fonds consists of a 210 page manuscript of the "History of Springfield", seventeen volumes of minute books, and three treasurer's books: 1950-1956, 1963-1990 and 1990-2006. The handwritten manuscript compiled by members of the Springfield Women's Institute includes original photographs, clippings, and copies of map sections of Lot 67 inserted into, or pasted unto, the pages as well as hand-drawn illustrations. The minute books contain minutes for general and annual meetings from 25 April 1913 to July 1915, July 1917 to 1945, 1950 to 4 June 1985 and 2 April 1991 to 4 January 2006. Also included are financial reports and membership, officers, and directors lists. Also, most volumes contain various inserts such as correspondence, copies of the "Institute News", and newspaper clippings.
