The records of St. Paul's United Church came to The United Church of Canada Archives-Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario as part of several transfers of records from Virden charge between 1970 and 1998.
Scope and content
The surviving records of St. Paul's United Church include: Sacramental registers, pertaining to Baptisms (1925-1986), Marriages (1925-1987), and Burials (1925-1987); records of the Session, including minutes (1946-1974); records of the Official Board, including minutes (1926-1976); records pertaining to Christian Education, including minutes, financial statements, plans, class lists and a nursery roll, (1925-1988); records of the Annual Meetings of the congregation, including minutes and annual reports (1921-1992); records pertaining to the Board of Stewards and church property, including minutes, financial statements and reports (1925-1977); records of Lay Associations and groups, including the Women's Association (1951-1961), United Church Women (1968-1987), the Young People's Union (1951-1964), A.O.T.S. (1947-1949), and the Church Choir (1925-1963); Newsletters and bulletins (1949-1991); and miscellaneous/reference material, including notes, correspondence and a church history by Myrtle Lane, a scrapbook, material relating to anniversary celebrations and special services, clippings, and Daughters of the Kirk calendars (1921-1990).
