Custodial history

The single volume (ca. 80 p. and 26 x 16 cm) belonging to the Women's Auxiliary came into the custody of Mrs. Jane Keffer (nee' Evans) and thence Mrs. Janet Watt, who donated the material in question to the City of Vaughan Archives in 1996. Other records were later donated to the City Archives by Norma Baker, the final ACW president. In this instance, the records of the Anglican Church Women were kept at the last ACW president’s personal residence since there was no room for the records in the parish. Fonds donated by Norma Baker on behalf of the ACW on June 10, 2008.

Scope and content

Fonds is constituted of minute books, account books, correspondence, newsletters, newspaper clippings, and pamphlets, a history of the ACW, several photo albums, posters, lists, memos, and menus from various church events and fundraisers. The single volume once acted as the organization's minute book, cash book, and membership dues register.
