Dr. Abram Hoffer donated these records to the Saskatoon office, Saskatchewan Archives, in 3 accessions between 1976 and 2006: S833 (July 2, 1976); S88-77 (October 3, 1988); and S2003-12 (March 10, 2003).
Scope and content
This series contains files kept by Dr. Hoffer on various topics of interest. The files include correspondence, articles, printed material and other information concerning a variety of subjects, including: schizophrenia; abortion; electroconvulsive therapy; fluoridation; LSD and other hallucinogens; pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical companies; grants; trips; AIDS and other diseases; psychedelic therapy; mental retardation; government officials in Saskatchewan; hypnosis, etc. The earliest material in this series (S-A 1101) includes records related to various experiments with psychiatric patients, and with control subjects.
