Custodial history
Records have been presented to the Carberry Plains Archives by Bailey to the Carberry Plains Museum which transferred the records in 1988.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of news clippings documenting Bailey's award and the Royal visit to his farm in 1970. Colour photograph shows Royal visit, and black and white photograph shows the Baileys receiving the Mr. Manitoba Farmer trophy. Also photocopies of Mr. Bailey's photo album/scrapbook of Queen Elizabeth's visit to his farm in 1970, and of his book "Farm Footsteps" (which he also wrote). The book contains an account of his meeting with the Queen again in 2010 on her visit to Winnipeg. 2011.02 is an audiocassette of an interview by Penny Shaw with Mr. Bailey about the visit to his farm by the Royal Family in 1970 and his meeting her again in Winnipeg in 2010
