Scope and content

Fonds consists of scrapbooks, loose photographs and design drawings, which document Ted and Eleanor Konkle's work for the display department at the T. Eaton Company in creating the Christmas Story windows between the years 1954 and 1963. It also includes material that details their decoration and costume designs for various Art Gallery Balls in Toronto during the same period. Additionally, the fonds includes photographs of Eaton's fashion shows coordinated by Ted as well as records of his time spent as an employee at Eaton's.

The material has been arranged into two series.
