Biographical history

The Island Community Theatre (ICT) was established in 1980 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Ron Irving was made artistic director and the first board of directors, appointed in February 1981, included Ian MacDonald (president), Harry Baglole (vice-president), Glenda Landry Campbell (secretary), Raymond Moore (treasurer), Adele Townshend, Doreen McInnis, Gary Craswell, Bruce Small, Jean Davis, and Bea Mair. The initial core funding for ICT was provided through the University of Prince Edward Island and the Province, under the Department of Community Affairs. UPEI also provided space on campus for ICT to set up an office.

The fonds contains the records of the Island Community Theatre (ICT), know since 1989 as Theatre Prince Edward Island. The fonds has been divided into the following nine series:
