The United Church B.C. Conference Archives (Bob Stewart Archives) is the only repository in which United Church records are to be officially held in the area of B.C. Conference. The Archives acquires: 1) records created by congregations, Presbyteries, and all other organizations, Church Courts, Boards, Divisions, Departments and Committees of the United Church of Canada and its Congregationalist, Methodist and Presbyterian predecessor denominations within the region of B.C. Conference, 2) the personal/private papers and manuscripts of individuals active in the United Church or its predecessors, when such records are of clear value to understanding the history of the church within the region of B.C. Conference, and 3) the records of ecumenical or inter-church organizations within the region of B.C. Conference, if members of the United Church or predecessor denominations have played a significant role in these organizations.

Open by appointment. In March 2015, the BC Conference Archives will move to a new (temporary) location due to the sale of its current home at the Iona Building on UBC campus. The Archives will be closed to the public between January 15th and April 2nd, 2015.
Between January 15th and April 2nd, 2015, telephone and email responses to research inquiries will be limited.
