Biographical history
The Variety Farm Training Centre was founded by Tony Schmand in 1962. It educates and trains mentally disabled people in agriculture, horticulture and husbandry. The centre includes a barn, greenhouses, a building for chickens, an occupation and recreation centre, residences, office and a retail selling area.
