Scope and content

Series consists of photographs and textual materials accumulated and or received by Verne McIIwraith documenting various aspects of Gordon Couling’s life. The photographs include images of his military service in the Second World War, as a student at the Ontario College of Art, his activities as an artist, and areas he vacationed, lived or worked such as Nanaimo and Horseshoe Bay British Columbia. There are also photographs of a parade during Vancouver’s Diamond Jubilee and of family members including his mother. The textual records are notes, some of them hand written, related to walking tours in the City of Guelph.
