Biographical history
First formed in 1994, the Village by the Arboretum Residents Association was officially inaugurated in May of 1995. Ron Stubbs served as the first president of the association. The association was created to represent the interests of village residents. The village consists of 500 acres of land leased by Reid’s Heritage homes from the University. The association’s purpose is to promote a safe and secure lifestyle, neighbourly spirit and a caring environment for all residents. The Association also produces its own newsletter entitled, Tree Talk.
Custodial history
Prior to their transfer to Guelph Public Library the material resided with Mr. David Young before they were donated to Guelph Public Library in 2008.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of minutes of the association including general, annual and quarterly meetings, the association’s newsletter Tree Talk, correspondence, promotional materials and architectural drawings.
Records have been arranged into five artifical series.
