Fonds consists of two series: Hospital Committee and Committee of Management; The records of the Westwood General Hospital Association document the transition of the administration and physical location from the Westwood General Hospital to the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital.

Immediate source of acquisition
Records were received with the records of the Corporation of the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital accession but were in a separate envelope marked Westwood General Hospital. The envelope's records contained documents of the Westwood General Hospital Association and the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital. The Archivist determined that, because the records document the transitional years between the two hospitals, these records would remain distinct

At the time of the building this finding aid, the relationship between the Incorporators of the Westwood General Hospital and the Westwood General Hospital Association is unclear. The Archivist can infer that that Association is a subsidiary body of the Incorporators, but the records do not clearly define that relationship
