Fonds consists of transcripts of interviews conducted by Wilfred Lund during 1995 and 2000-2001 when he was under contract to the Directorate of History and Heritage. He undertook a series of oral history interviews with eminent members of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). Also includes photocopies of papers documenting the naval career of Vice-Admiral Nigel Brodeur with the RCN during 1963-1990. There are 2 series: Fonds is comprised of the following series:

Timbrell were transferred to Library and Archives Canada in 2004. 2 cassette tapes containing the interviews of Major-General Duncan Alastir McAlpine, Major-General Dan G. Loomis and Air Vice Marshall Clifford Mackay McEwen were transferred to Library and Archives Canada in 2005. A copy of Wilfred Lund's PhD Thesis entitled "The rise and fall of the Royal Canadian Navy, 1945-1965: a critical study of the senior leadership, policy and manpower management" (Call No. VA 400 L86 1999) is available in the Directorate of History and Heritage (DHH) library.
