Scope and content

Fonds contains photographs created and collected by William Stephen, long time resident of Rondeau Provincial Park in Ontario. These images, comprising of a visual history of the residential and recreational areas of the Park, were used to illustrate Stephen's book Rondeau Forever: Our Home, Our Heritage, Our Memories, published in a limited run in 2006.

The first two series of records primarily consist of recent photographs of interiors and exteriors of the historic cottages within the Park, highlighting original details and unique craftsmanship. William Stephen took most of these photographs in 2005, in preparation for the publication.

The remaining series of records consist of photographs and photomechanical reproductions that William Stephen collected from current residents of Rondeau Provincial Park. These include standing and demolished public structures, views of Rondeau Bay and boating activities on the Bay, residents, signage and picnic sites. These photographs and reproductions are attributed to the original owner or creator.

Arrangement of this fonds is based on chapters created by William Stephen in Rondeau Forever: Our Home, Our Heritage, Our Memories.

This fonds consists of nine series.
