Biographical history
Charles Wren was a farmer from the Red River region who married Elizabeth Ross (d. 1859) and Mary Amelia Ross, daughters of Hudson's Bay Company official Charles Ross (d. 1844). The Wren family children included Anne (b. 1848) who married George Daugherty, and Isabella, who became involved with the Ladies of the Macabees of the World. In addition to living in the Red River area, the family also moved to the Fort Nisqually area, Victoria, and Roy, Washington.

The fonds consists of correspondence, mortgages, marriage licences and accounts of the Wren family, primarily of Charles and Isabella Wren. Includes correspondence of Isabella Wren as the record keeper of Lady Moffat Hive No. 17 of the Ladies of the Maccabees of the World; newsletter of Washington State School District No. 2 and extract of Pierce County Court probate court of George Daugherty; and correspondence of Horatio Calder from Henry Budd.
