Twelve of the letters in the fonds were handwritten by Florrie Brennan on Armed Forces Air Letter paper in 1942. The thirteenth letter, dated 3 June 1942 was typewritten on official letterhead of the Minister of National Defence. Addressed "Dear Arthur," it was signed by J. L. Ralston and informed the Brennans that their son Bob was missing. A letter written by Florrie on 23 June 1942 addressed to Flt. Sgt. J.R. Brennan (Bob) was returned with an official label indicating, "addressee is reported missing on war service." She wrote ten other letters addressed to him, up to and including 27 October 1942, expressing her deep sense of loss. On 16 November 1942 Florrie penned a letter to her son Charles Arthur (Brun) who was reported missing on 7 November. The fonds also includes a photograph of Ned and Cecelia Wyatt in an outdoor setting displayed in a cardstock frame (26 x 18 cm). Cecelia Lefurgey Wyatt was a sister to Arthur's mother, Rosara Lefurgey Brennan.
